To remember
Write for a real stay: a verifiable promise, sleeping arrangements, spaces, then information to avoid surprises.
A precise title is better than a pile of adjectives
Start with the type of accommodation and main benefit. “Quiet studio with private parking” gives more useful information than “Sublime dream cocoon.” Use neighborhood names only if they help your audience locate the property.
Three structures to adapt: “Two bedrooms and terrace near the station,” “Family home with enclosed garden,” “Studio with desk and self-check-in.” Check that each term corresponds to reality: a corner of the table isn’t always a comfortable workspace.
A description template in five blocks
1. L’essentiel : « Séjournez dans notre [type de logement] à [quartier]. Vous profitez de [avantage principal] et de [second avantage vérifié]. Le logement accueille [capacité] personnes avec [répartition des couchages]. »
2. The spaces: describe the stay, kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. Specify beds, surface area if known, and private or shared spaces.
3. Useful amenities: kitchen, washing machine, internet connection, air conditioning, heating, parking. Provide verifiable features rather than general promises.
4. Access and neighborhood: floor, elevator, key handover, transport and actual measured distances. Distinguish private parking from street parking options.
5. Know before booking: noise restrictions, steps, pets, shared spaces and special rules. This information must be consistent with the listing fields and regulations.
Example: transforming a vague sentence
Before: “Enjoy an exceptional stay in our beautiful fully equipped apartment, ideal for all travelers.” This sentence specifies neither the capacity, nor the layout, nor what makes the accommodation unique.
After, for a property that really has these features: "A one-bedroom apartment for two, with a separate bedroom and a private terrace. The kitchen includes an oven and dishwasher. A parking space is reserved in the courtyard."
The second text is more concrete. It doesn't need to promise a perfect stay. Replace each feature with facts about your property and never copy a default capacity or amenity.
Review with the traveler’s checklist
Read the description on a phone. The main information should appear in the first lines, with short paragraphs. Remove repetitions and keep details in the right place: amenities in the amenities section, rules in the house rules, access in the instructions.
If you translate, pay particular attention to sleeping arrangements, shared spaces, and fees. An error about a double bed or private parking changes the promise. Proper names and distances must remain accurate.
- The number of travelers and beds matches the photos.
- The title’s advantages are proven in the description.
- Lodging boundaries are easy to find.
- No distance, internet speed, or service is invented.
- The text remains readable on mobile.
Frequently asked questions
Should I put keywords everywhere?
Favor useful and natural information. Repeating Airbnb, rental, or vacation doesn’t help travelers understand your accommodation. Don’t promise a ranking boost through a text formula.
Can I use an AI-written description?
Yes, as a draft to review. Check each amenity, distance, rule, and sleeping arrangement before publishing. The tool does not know recent changes to your property unless you provide them.
